Their dream cake will be baked by Fiorna Cairns, having a British floral theme and will be decorated with the couple's new cipher — most likely made up of their initials — which will be revealed on their wedding day.
Each tier of the icing-covered, brandy-flavored fruitcake will have a different theme, according to Cairns. The cake will also feature 3-D scrollwork, leaves and flowers — including the English rose, Scottish thistle, Welsh daffodil and Irish shamrock.
Other flowers include the bridal rose, which symbolizes happiness; the lily of the valley, which represents sweetness and humility; and ivy leaves, which stand for marriage. Cairns has already started baking to allow the cake the necessary time to mature.
